The VeriPlate Intelligence Server and Communications Engine (VISCE) is a fully-functional intuitive Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) Back Office facility designed to provide:

  • The first role is to provide the back-bone communications platform to collect ALPR hotlists from federal, state or local sources. It provides the formatting for synchronized dissemination of those hotlist databases to remotely deployed ALPR assets. New additions to the hotlist entries can be synchronized and ‘pushed’ to the existing ALPR hotlists removing the need to completely reload large databases. The ALPR database is alerted to the fact that new hotlist additions or deletions have been added.
  • The second role is the conversion of ALPR capture data and images into an intelligence database, providing tools to query the intelligence database against individual or partial plates, in addition to providing operational statistical information. The intelligence database is of long-term strategic importance as a crime-solving tool and can assist in the detection of crimes and crime trends sometimes long after they have occurred.

VISCE can be accessed across a network or can be Web-enabled for remote log-in from another PC anywhere in the world with access to the Internet.
