Scorpion is a powerful and compact rugged ANPR processor unit specifically designed to be totally weatherproof and withstand extreme environmental conditions and temperature fluctuations. The ANPR processor features a 80Gb hard drive with an embedded Windows Operating System, High Speed Frame Grabbers and the TALON ANPR Engine.
Scorpion is capable of handling up to 4 separate video inputs, processing imagery from 2 Dual ANPR cameras simultaneously providing colour contextual overview imagery and IR plate patches. The Scorpion processor takes imagery from the ANPR cameras and runs the plate recognition processes internally. Local hotlists can be securely stored and managed by direct connection to any web based services such as VISCE or BOF. Scorpion can store 2 MillionANPR Reads and Images, pre and post capture video and can be powered from a standard mains supply enabling a quick and tidy installation with no other requirement or additional street side furniture and roadside image storing hardware. All captured data can be easily transmitted using LAN, 3G, GPRS, WiFi or downloaded through the USB ports.
Scorpion handles 2x Dual ANPR cameras simultaneously capturing High Speed and High Density Traffic with ease. Manufactured from heavy duty aluminium with a large heat sink, Scorpion is engineered and tested to operate in extreme heat and temperature conditions up to +50C. Ideally suited for high specification remote fixed site ANPR locations Scorpion can be mounted on a pole or a lamp post column, fixed to a wall, bridge or gantry. Bespoke designed mounting straps and brackets for the Scorpion provide a secure and safe roadside installation while a quick release function simplifies and eases the removal for routine maintenance and rapid re-deployment.
The Scorpion Core 2 Duo processor enables an increased ANPR engine speed, processing capability, storage and unlimited features for data transfer and data management. Scorpion’s ability to process two ‘Dual’ ANPR cameras simultaneously while keeping the compact size, ruggedness and weatherproof engineered design makes this a very attractive ANPR solution.
