The SC2 is second-generation powerful and compact rugged ANPR processor unit specifically designed to be totally weather proof and withstand extreme environmental conditions and temperature fluctuations. The processor unit features a 40GB solid state drive with embedded Windows Operating System, integrated frame grabbers and the NDI-RS Talon ANPR engine.
The SC2 handles 2x C3 series cameras simultaniously processing high speed and density traffic.
The SC2 is capable of handling up to 4 separate video inputs, processing imagery from 2 dual ANPR cameras providing colour contextual overview imagery and IR number plate capture. The SC2 processor takes imagery from the cameras and runs the plate recognition processes. Local hotlists can be securely stored and managed by direct connection to any web based services such as an ANPR Back Office Facility (BOF). The SC2 can store in excess of 2 million time stamped images and pre and post capture videos and can be powered from a standard mains supply enabling a quick and efficient installation with no other requirement for additional street furniture and roadside image storing hardware. All captured data can be easily transmitted using 3G (HSDPA), GPRS, WiFi, LAN or downloaded via on-board USB port.
The compact size of the SC2 unit offers flexibility in deployment. Manufactured from heavy duty aluminium with large heat sink, the SC2 is engineered and tested to operate in extreme heat and temperature conditions up to +50C. Ideally suited for mission critical remote site ANPR installations, the SC2 could be mounted on a pole, lamppost, bridge or other road side infrastructure. Bespoke designed mounting straps and brackets for the SC2 provide a secure and safe roadside installation while a quick release bracket function eases the removal for routine maintenance.
The SC2 utilises an Intel Atom Dual Core D510 processor which enables high speed ANPR capture, high speed ANPR processing capability and unlimited features for data transfer and management. The SC2’s ability to process two ‘Dual’ C3 Series ANPR cameras simultaneously whilst keeping it’s compact size, ruggedness and weatherproof engineered design makes this a very attractive ANPR solution.
