The NDI-RS TALON Journey Time Analysis (JTA) solution provides a advantage in optimising road use, traffic flow management and journey time analysis
- Modular Design tailored to meet customer requirements
- Scalable System to suit single lane or multiple lane systems
- Easy to navigate Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Live feed via the web
- Accurate Calculations - within 2% on a 2km leg
- Vehicle Databases - can recognise specific vehicles stored in a hotlist and compare their activity against unknown vehicles e.g. Buses vs. others
- Statistical Reports - Standard or User Definable Reporting Packages
Journey Time Analysis (JTA) and Journey Time Measurement Systems (JTMS) are key applications for traffic monitoring and traffic management of which NDI-RS is a leading solutions provider.
The NDI-RS JTA / JTMS solution provides real time travel and speed information on vehicles traveling along open roads and motorways and through urban and city centre areas.
ANPR cameras are strategically deployed at the roadside in a number of locations, to capture number plates along a designated road network.
The highly accurate information recorded by the NDI-RS JTA solution is processed and distributed in a variety of ways including variable-message signs (VMS) and by web access onto a centralised traffic information site.
- Journey Time Analysis
- This element works by using data from two or more cameras set up at each end of a road segment. These are typically referred to as outstations which have plate recognition units (PRU’s). These are computers running Talon ANPR software connected to ANPR cameras. Recognition results and timing information are then sent to a ‘centre’ for processing. As a vehicle is matched at the end of a road segment or outstation, the individual journey time of the vehicle is calculated. Alarms can be generated where journey times exceed set limits.
- Average Speed Measurement
- ANPR System will calculate the speed of the vehicle using the standard journey time formula. Speed is derived measuring the journey time over a set distance.
Speed = Distance/Time
Speed can be measured against a user definable speed limit set within the system; if a violation occurs the system can generate a visual ‘on screen’ and audible alarm. The system will store the alarm information for later use. The ANPR system is an ideal tool for enforcing site speed and traffic safety policies. - Vehicle Counting
- Using ANPR data, system can count the number of vehicles entering or exiting a specific area within a certain period of time. Easy to read bar/pie chart reports can be generated indicating number and percentage of vehicle entries/exits and average car park area usage per set period of time.
- Dwell Time Measurement
- Vehicles entering a site or car park are read by the ANPR system and read again when the vehicles leave the site or car park. The average length of stay is then automatically calculated - this is the Dwell time.
- Traffic Flow Reporting
- Traffic flow reports can be automatically produced as frequently as
every 10 minutes giving instant visibility wide area management.
MORE KEY FEATURES:
